TIME OF RESTORATION - ACTS 3:21

Dear Saints in Christ:

I would like you to explore with me the scriptures to get an understanding of what was divided or destroyed, and what needs restoring. First of all, the Passover Lamb of Calvary, Jesus Christ, restored our fellowship with God the Father and provided eternal life through His shed blood and an inheritance with His death and resurrection. At this time, I will not go into detail on the life of the believer in Christ, but I would like to speak about the Kingdom of God.

First of all, every kingdom has a king. Our king is Jesus. He has a domain, a place of abode, and a realm of rule and authority to govern. There are subjects that live in the realm and serve and give their allegiance to the King. In the beginning of creation we see a rebellion and a giving of allegiance of Adam and Eve to a supplanter of deceiver named Satan, and a breach in the union between God and man through his disobedience. So through Jesus we have a restoration of union with God and we can come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy in times of need and deliverance from our enemies: Satan, sin, and death.

-Now, back to the dividing of the kingdom. I believe that the Lord our God desires to rule over His people in love, by a theocracy. We see In [Judges 8:23] Gideon said unto the elders of Israel when they wanted to make him king, "I will not rule over you, neither shall my son rule over you. The Lord shall rule over you." But the Lord granted their request under protest. And again in another place more rebellion. [I Samuel 8:5-7] The elder~of Israel said to Samuel, "Make us a king to judge us like other nations." The Lord said to Samuel, "they have rejected me, that I should not rule over them."

Christ is desirous of rescuing all His subject's lives from destruction, not just future heaven, but a victorious overcoming life now. The Lord gave Saul to be king over Israel, and was soon removed because of disobedience. King David was raised up by the Lord to be king, and he did that which pleased God and because he was a man after God's own heart the Lord spoke to David through the prophet Nathan in [I Chronicles 17] that David would not build a house for the Lord but his son would build it. Let me make a point right here to give understanding. The Lord has a witness in two's;Natural and Spiritual. The first Adam was the natural and the second Adam (Jesus Christ) the Spiritual. Solomon the son of David in the natural and Jesus the son of David (and Son of God) spiritual, or law and grace the old and the new testament.

[I Chronicles 17:9-14] "Also I will ordain a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, and they shall dwell in their place, and shall be moved no more; neither shall the children of wickedness waste them any more, also [Psalms 89:22-23] as at the beginning. And since the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. Moreover, I will subdue all thine enemies. Furthermore I tell thee that the Lord will build thee a house. And it shall come to pass, when thy days be expired that thou must go to be with thy fathers, that I will raise up thy seed after thee, which shall be of thy sons; and I will establish His kingdom. He shall build me a house, and I will establish His(Jesus) throne forever. I will be his father, and he shall be my son; and I will not take my mercy away from him, as I took it from him (Saul) that was before thee; But I will settle him in mine house and in my kingdom forever; and his throne shall be established for evermore." Also see [Psalms 89]and also [I Peter 2:5]

Now Solomon is commissioned to build a house for the Lord to put His name therein, but like all the carnal efforts of man this house that Solomon builds will not last, nor his kingdom continue.[1Kings 11: 4,6,9,11 & 13] "For it came to pass, when Solomon was old, that his wives turned away his heart after other gods; and his heart was not perfect with the Lord his God, as was the heart of David his father. And Solomon did evil in the sight of the Lord, and went not full after the Lord, as did David his father. And the Lord was angry with Solomon because his heart was turned from the Lord God of Israel. Wherefore the Lord said unto Solomon, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant. How be it I will not rend away all the kingdom; but will give one tribe to thy son for David my servant's sake, and for Jerusalem's sake which I have chosen." We see here now, a dividing of the kingdom of Israel into two entities or two individual governments.

The ten tribes of Israel or the northern kingdom went to Solomon's servant Jeroboam, and Judah and Benjamin, along with the Levites who are the ministers of God were established in the southern kingdom. Because of the idolatry of Jeroboam the son of Nebat of the
northern kingdom and the sins of Jeroboam, the Levites went to reside in Judah and Jerusalem, thus Judah became the ministers of the spiritual. The northern kingdom, the carnal kingdom, declined until they were defeated in battle by the Assyrians and carried away into all the nations. Judah also eventually failed and was carried away captive to Babylon, but the law never departed from them until Jesus came many years after they were brought back from captivity. [Genesis 49:10]. "The scepter shall not depart from Judah nor a lawgiver from between his feet until Shiloh come, and unto Him (Jesus) shall the gathering of the people be."

When Jesus came to his own, born of a virgin in Bethlehem of Judea as the son of man and son of David a Jew, he was rejected and crucified by them for they would not receive him as the son of God and their Messiah. Jesus told the religious leaders of that day that the kingdom would be taken from them and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. So the law and the scepter passed from Judah to spiritual Israel through Jesus Christ who spoke through Peter. [I Peter 2:9] "But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, and holy nation." Paul in [Galatians 6:16] speaks of the Church of Jesus Christ as the Israel of God. So upon the resurrection of Jesus Christ, he went to the father to receive a kingdom and build a house for the Lord [I Chron. 17:12]

As the church of Jesus Christ began its journey through the wilderness of nations in the first century, the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed (70 AD) and the sacrifices discontinued to this day [Isaiah 66:3] The Jew was scattered throughout the nations to be without a homeland until 1948. And Palestine, so called was left barren and arid, while the Israel of God was to bring forth fruit. Since the Jew began to return to Palestine, now called Israel we see scriptures being fulfilled like [Zechariah 12:6-7] "In that day, I will make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood and like a torch of fire in a sheaf, and they shall devour all people round about,on the right hand and on the left, and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place even in Jerusalem. The Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first that the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah. As the tribulation of the natural Jew in World War 2 gave them a desire to return to their own land for refuge, so also will the church of Jesus Christ begin to return to the land of her nativity, Israel, being the fulfillment of [Ezekiel 38 & 39].

This letter was written in 1993,and today, Jan.2002 as I behold the tribulation of Jacob(Jew)in the middle east and her(Isreal's) enemeis the Palistinians and Isreal's Arab neighbors through terrorist suicide bombers and the such, I began to inquire of the Lord what His intentions are towards his land and His people.
This is what I believe He has revealed to me about this matter,Isa.11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek and his rest shall be glorious. 11,And it shall come to pass in that day, that the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. 12,And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.
13, The envy also of Ephraim shall depart and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off  Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim. 14,But they(Isreal & America) shall fly upon the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them. 15,And the LORD shall utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind shall he shake his hand over the river, and shall smite it in the seven streams, and make men go over dryshod. 16,And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt"
The Lord said in Lev.25:23. " The land shall not be sold * for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me." The land of Isreal is the Lord's and He has given that land to Abraham seed (Christ) Gal.3:16.  So no matter how hard the Arabs or the devil try to secure it for them selves they will fail.

I believe that America and the church have a divine destiny which includes Isreal. American now has fifty states, the number of Jubilee. I believe that the Lord gives signs, and those who are searching or seeking, find them. One other consideration is that Judah will celebrate a fifty-year anniversary in 1998. Could this mean something?

We have seen recently the failure of communism, and democracy staggering with a death rattle in its voice. Religion is hanging on to these for dear life. When the Christian that has been building on these foundations of sand realizes what is happening, and starts seeking the Rock of His foundation, and begins building with the revealed word of God, we will begin to see the union of the saints, and the government of God coming into fruition and glory with Jesus as governor and king.

Through the war with Iraq we begin to see in scripture the beginning of the restoration of the two natural kingdoms (Judah and Joseph) As I watched the news after the war was over, I saw the people of Israel gather in the streets waving both the American and Israel flags and singing God Bless America. This statement is not what I am basing my conclusion on, but am making out of this a show of affection toward America.

The war with Iraq in 199l was for this purpose; [Ezekiel 37:16-17 & 19] "Moreover thou son of man take for thee one stick and write upon it, for Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions. Then take another stick and write upon it for Joseph the stick of Ehpriam and for the house of Israel his companions. and join them one to another into one stick, and they shall become one in thine hand. Behold I will take the stick of Joseph which is in the hand of Ephriam and the tribes of Israel his fellows, and will put thee with him even the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand." What now comes to mind is, what does this stick mean: The only conclusion that I am familiar with is the stick as used for beating or thrashing. Isa.11:14.

The foundation of my conclusion of this writing about restoration is the illumination of the scripture by the Holy Spirit. We have seen with Solomon the natural division of the Kingdom of Israel, with the first coming of Jesus Christ, the division of the spiritual. Now in this day we are beginning to see a restoration of the two natural kingdoms of Israel and by faith, the spiritual restoration from division and the soon return of Jesus with His church to Israel. The word of knowledge of the Lord will go forth from Jerusalem and cover the earth as the water covers the sea, and His will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Let's go to the book of [Ezekiel 37] and the dry bones of Israel coming together and the Lord breathing life into them. [Vs 12} "Behold 0 my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into your own land." As Paul said in [Romans 11:15] of the natural Jew. "What shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead."also the Church needs a revivil from it's deadness.

I would like to inject another thought for your consideration. In [Genesis 35:16-20] Rachel the most beloved wife of Jacob, the mother of Joseph died giving birth to Benjamin, and was buried on the way to Ephrath which is Bethlehem. Joseph being a type of Jesus Christ the first born is looking for a younger brother that looks like him,Benjamin born of his mother who is a type of the Idolatrous last days Laodicean church of Jesus Christ.

This Rachel could be a type of the church of this day that dies in her wilderness journey, going toward the house of bread. Right here I would like to give the reason why she died.  When Jacob left Laban to go back to Isaac his father in the land of Canaan, Laban did not know they left and with out saying good bye. Genesis 31:19 "And Rachel had stolen the images that were her fathers." Laban went after them and when he caught up with them he asked Jacob, "who stole my gods?" V32 Jacob answered, "With whomsoever thou findest thy gods, let him not live." Thus Jacob pronounced a curse on Rachel.  She died giving birth to Benjamin.  And so the church age has died giving birth to a man child that looks like Jesus.
What I am trying to say in all this is, the body or church of Jesus Christ has been on a journey and died along the way leaving a child or remnant to go on and fulfill the prepare the Bride of Christ for the return of Jesus. [Ezekiel 37:21-22 & 24] "And say unto them. Thus saith the lord God; "Behold I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land. And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel, and one king shall be King to them all, and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. And David my servant shall be king over them, and they all shall have one shepherd."

There are two winds blowing and we need to know and discern between the natural and the spiritual and what being first shall be last and what is last to be first. Jesus said "As these things begin to come to pass, look up for your redemption draweth nigh." May the love of God be shed abroad from your hearts, and His love towards you reveal knowledge and understanding what our inheritance is in Christ Jesus.

No geographical location such as nation, state, or church has any value at all unless you are abiding in the presence of Jesus Christ and living in His Kingdom. Only then are you at home. Seek to enter in.

May the peace of God dwell in you securely through faith and trust in Him.

With love,

Brother Ed Hintz
