Laying Hold of Our Inheritance

Romans 8:35-39 (emphasis added) Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor ANGELS, nor PRINCIPALITIES, nor POWERS, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It is evident from the above passage of scripture that the Lord has ALREADY declared the victory for those who believe. So what then seperates us from laying hold of our inheritance? The answer to that question is our unbelief for the Lord declares to us today that NOTHING shall be impossible to those who believe.

Matthew 17:19-20 Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Nothing EXTERNAL therefore can seperate us from walking in the fulness of the inheritance that Jesus Christ has bought and paid for us at the cross. The only thing that now seperated us from LAYING HOLD our full inheritance is UNBELIEF!

Hebrews 4:1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left [us] of entering into his rest (full and complete inheritance), any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard [it].
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh [day] on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this [place] again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, Today, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

It is therefore not our enemies that the Lord is looking to conquer (yes there will be a day of vengence were all enemies will be placed under His feet) but rather it is our unbelief He is looking to conquor for all things are possible to those who believe. We should not expect or look for our freedom (full inheritance, rest) to come via the Lord changing our circumstances by casting down principalities and powers but rather by the Lord raising us HIGH ABOVE all principalities and powers (all things that exalt themself against the knowledge of God). In this way the Lord will make us OVERCOMERS by giving us OBSTACLES to overcome (rise above).

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
12 Therefore rejoice, [ye] heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.

The overcomer dwells in the HEAVENS (rising and abiding above his/her circumstances) while the unbeliever dwells on EARTH in unbelief. Our inheritance (all spiritual blessings) is IN HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST JESUS. Those who believe and do not DESPISE the promises of the Lord will earnestly seek ENTRANCE into the HEAVENLY PLACES (kingdom of God) were our inheritance resides.

When the children of Israel crossed over Jordan they were given the promise of the Lord Himself going before them and defeating the enemy. The battle is not ours but rather the Lord's therefore victory is assured. As the children of Israel BELIEVED the Lord and OBEYED all that He commanded them to do the enemy could not stand before them. Their victory was INEVITABLE as long as their belief in His word (command to them) was maintained and they obeyed all that He commanded them to do. As they failed to believe the word of the Lord (failed to act on His command) they could not stand before their enemies and were defeated by them.

The Lord could have simply wiped out all the "giants" in the land and given the children of Israel their inheritance. In doing this, however, the sons of God (man-child or overcomers) would never be manifest. In the Lord's wisdom had to place a very real enemy in the place of their inheritance so the sons of God would be mainifest. In doing so the believer and unbeliever (tares verses wheat) would be manifested.

Today is no different! This is the entire purpose of the coming tribulation, that the sons of God would be MANIFEST!

The children of Abraham (faith) in our generation will therefore not have their circumstances changed, they will only rise above them or better said have the Lord RAISE us above them as on the wings of an eagle. We therefore are not looking for a sign of some principality or religious spirit or antichrist spirit or Jezebel spirit or any other spirit to be cast down in order for us to gain our inheritance. None of these can or ever will seperate us from our inheritance in Christ Jesus.

Rather, the Lord has made it evident that the promises will be given (laid hold of) to those who believe. As our unbelief is conquored WITHIN US there will be nothing EXTERNAL that can stand in our way for the Lord Himself will rise us far above all our enemies and seat us in heavenly places.

Luke 17:20-21 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

Let us therefore be careful that an evil heart of unbelief does not overtake us lest we too fall short of the promise of entering into our rest (inheritance). The battle currently lies primarily with our own evil heart of unbelief for when the overcomers arise in faith and the unbelief in our hearts is conquored and the kingdom of God is firmly stablished WITHIN us there is NOTHING that will be impossible for the Lord to accomplish for us and through us.

All the Lord's promises to us are yes and a-men if we would simply believe that what He has already purposed will be accomplished. Nothing shall be impossible for those who believe.

We pray that these messages are a blessing to you and
your family and that they help reveal the Fatherís Heart as you continue
to press into His kingdom.
